We've kinda noticed that retailers don't also provide chess cases or sell cases as a stand-alone product. So here are some excellent cases that will be enhanced in range as time goes on. The more expensive sets all come with cases recommended with the product as optional - you wouldn't want to buy that beautiful staunton design and not have a lovely case to put it away - would you? These chess boxes are sturdy, high quality constructions that will not only care for your chess set but also look great.

C2023 Tray Style Large Leather Chess Box for 6 inch Kings

C2008 Chess Box 20.5 inch X 20.5 inch X 2.5 inch. Leather. 3.8 kg.
Large flat leather chess case for larger pieces with compartments for each piece. This case can accomodate a 6 inch King if necessary. Each piece fits into it's own component and the top gives the case a snug luxury fit to prevent any piece to piece contact or falling out - there's enough falling out between the chess pieces on the chessboard - right? The case is a slimline case with a sturdy handle and excellent construction measuring just over 20 inches by 20 inches. Sets with double Queens can have the queens (or bishops) top to toe and still fit well in the compartments. Don't put the queen and king top to toe or you might end up with more pieces than you want or can afford. Never put opposing queens top to toe - that can get real nasty! The weight of the case is 3.2 kg.

C2002 Luxury Chess Box in Leather
Same chess case as C2001 except built for single queens. First class quality leather with catch, handle and silk lining allowing each individual chess piece to be nestled in luxury. You have to look after those chess pieces - they're all prima donna's - they'll protest and not perform at their usual standard if you don't look after them each in the way they are accustomed to. Good for King heights between 3.5 inches and 4.5 inches.

Before you ask - no, the chess pieces shown don't come with the case, they just demonstrate that the pieces have a lovely snug and luxurious fit in this quite beautiful chess case. This chess product is deceivingly splendid. It's a most wonderful flat chess case with individual indents for each piece and built for double Queens. The case securely holds each piece snugly so well that constant checks need to made so that they are ready for the game and not sleeping - they should be alert and ready to roll. Width: 22 inches. Depth: 10.5 inches. Height: 3 inches. Overall weight: 2.1kg. A beautiful and luxury chess box. Did I say 'luxury'? Have I used that word too many times...?

Allows storing room for sets with 4 inch king or less. if you have double queens, the size of the King in the chess set shouldn't exceed 3.5 inches. The chess box has a look and feel of sturdyness and quality with excellent fastenings suitable for many chess sets accross all the range. Smells nice. I've had one of these for over a year and it still that lovely leather smell. The interior has a felt lining which also provides cushioning for the pieces. A very reasonably priced leather chessbox with particularly high quality materials and finish. The weight of the box is 783g.

Great chess box for Kings of 4 inches or less. It may seem to be a normal chess box but the feel of this one is really great. You could put your cigars in it too - only watch that neither of the Kings doesn't have a crafty smoke of your rare Cubans. The box would fit double queens too as long as the Kings aren't in excess of 3.5 inches.

A leather protective carrier for economy chess pieces. The pouch is all leather and is very well constructed with high quality material. It has 2 zips and weighs 112g. The measurements are 5.25 inches by 7.5 inches and carries most sets comfortably. We couldn't get a picture of the leather pouch without it looking like a bat hanging upside down, but it's perfect for the purpose and looks better with chess pieces occupying the inside.
