ChessBaron focuses on customer service. It is this very factor, apart from the obvious quality of our products, that has established us as the company to come to whether buying for yourself or looking for gift ideas.
The following outlines how we do business - the fine print! We've been doing it like this since we started and they have gotten us through the rough and the smooth. In essence, you can be assured that in terms of:

Shipping: We charge no shipping when delivered through surface mail within the contiguous United States.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

ChessBaron wants all customers to be happy with their Chess Product purchase. We'll do whatever is needed to make you 100% satisfied whether this was a purchase for yourself or as a gift. Please contact us straightaway with any issues you have!

• Packaging
  We take care to wrap and pack every product suitable for mail transit so that your purchase arrives at its destination undamaged. If you want your purchase gift wrapped we are happy to do so. We wrap with paper and a card - no bows!
  
  
  
• Shipping
  We have free shipping within the contiguous United States and no handling fees. You don't get charged at the checkout in a store for the assistant to put your purchase in a bag and, unlike our competitors, we don't charge for that either!
  We ship within 48 hours of receiving your order. We use DHL to ship all packages except where USPS proves to be a better service to your particular destination. Packages are sent using the DHL Ground Service which takes 2-7 days to reach you. We can send you the tracking details in an email once shipped. You should expect your package within one week.
  Are you in a hurry? Forgot a birthday? Need a gift urgently? Please email us on our toll free number and we can arrange for an overnight service at an additional cost.
  If you want your purchase delivered overseas, please go ahead with order and we'll contact you with the actual shipping costs. There is no commitment, if they are too high for your budget, you'll always be able to change your mind and be refunded. We do have operations in other countries that may be able to ship to your required destination at a lower cost.
  
  
  
• Warranty
  Our quality control is first class but we do encourage you to inspect your purchase as soon as you get it. In the unlikely event that there is any defect, please contact us. We can then talk about a refund or a replacement. In both instances, the goods must be returned to us. You cannot receive a replacement without returning your purchase!
  
  
  
• Returns
  If you don't like the product once you see it in person simply contact us and we can discuss a refund or exchange if you're in the contiguous United States. If you want to exchange it for something else then let us know the details and we will process the replacement order offline. Our lower priced items may just be refunded rather than replaced after being returned. We also have a 10% re-stocking fee. If the item was sent outside the US, sorry - it isn't returnable.
  
  
  
• Returning Goods
  When returning goods for any reason, please use their original packaging, or better, and return them within 14 days of purchase. There is no need to fill out any paperwork - the postmark on the parcel is enough. However we would appreciate if you can include a copy of your original purchase details inside the package so we can process your request as quickly as possible. Please note that we have a 10% restocking fee.
  We understand that when items are bought as a gift, you may not be able to return them within 14 days. If something like this happens, then call us on our toll free number.
  
  
  
• Sales Tax
  Since our established company is based in Ventura County, California, if you are a California resident then sales tax at the current state rate is charged on top of the order. Don't blame us - blame Arnie!
