Free Shipping! We present the Contemporary Philosopher, a most remarkable chess design, geometrically engineered to be unique and outstanding. Made in Ebony for one side, and Rosewood for the other side – the colouring itself is unusual and certainly contemporary. This is a chess set like no other! The designer wanted to include unusual aspects such as having no felt underlay (rather, polished wooden bottoms), and no extra weighting other than the substantial intrinsic weighting of the wood itself. The result is noting but superb. The board shoudl have 1.7inch squares or greater.
